Watu Clean Water Project
Watu Wa Maana Children's Home in Ruiru, Kenya, urgently needs support to secure a consistent and safe water supply.
Currently, the home receives water from the city only a few days a week. The water is neither clean nor sufficient, and the storage tank is both too small and contaminated. As a result, children and staff face serious health risks due to inconsistent access to safewater.
The Daily Struggle:
✔Limited water for bathing, toilets, and cooking.
✔Children take bucket baths when water is available.
✔Drinking water must be boiled before use.
✔Clothes are washed in large buckets with unclean water.
The Solution: A Clean Water Project
With your support, we can:
✔ Provide a consistent source of clean water.
✔ Ensure safe water for drinking, bathing, and brushing teeth.
✔ Eliminate the need to boil water before consumption.
✔ Install running water for sinks and showers.
✔ Establish a long-term sustainable solution with a well.
What’s Needed
To make this a reality, we need:
✔A new well
✔Water tank stands
✔Plumbing and sink areas
✔Water pump, tanks, filter, pipes, and fittings
✔Lighting for the water system
Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to ensuring these children not only
survive—but thrive. Thank you for your support!
