In many of the countries where our partner homes serve, government programs do not consistently provide routine dental, vision, or hearing care for children in care. When treatment is not covered—and there is no family able to help—these young people may have nowhere else to turn.

A vision problem can interfere with a child’s education. Untreated dental pain can affect eating, sleeping, and daily life. Hearing loss can limit communication, learning, and relationships. Early treatment can prevent a manageable condition from becoming a serious medical crisis.
