About Somebody Cares Africa

Somebody Cares Africa serves children on the outskirts of Kampala, Uganda, in a slum community. Led by Pastor Prince Chemonges and his wife—known respectfully as Mama—the ministry has served faithfully for nearly 20 years through Cross Pointe Church. Today, 15 children are cared for through foster homes connected to the church.

For more than 15 years, the Chemonges family has taken children into their own home because there was nowhere else for them to stay. While the church has long hoped to provide safe space for children, resources have been limited. Currently, some children live on the church campus with single mothers, and there is a growing need to improve sleeping quarters so children have safer, more stable living conditions.

Home sponsorship helps support foster families by providing food and meeting daily needs. Continued support also helps strengthen the care system around these children through the church. Your giving helps ensure children in this community are not overlooked and have consistent care and support.
